MISSION AND VISION
Mission:
Develop global women leaders and build a stronger community to create a compelling environment around cybersecurity and technology.
Vision:
Vision: Enable women in cybersecurity globally to improve their brand, showcase their capabilities, and create new opportunities.
Goal:
Increase women's exposure and help them grow their careers, by giving them a platform. Executive senior level women will share their expertise and insights with others in our field or those who want to enter or transition, through
speaking and writing. Our speakers and writers will help others grow and learn from these female role models who share. Invited speakers will be in executive roles, often but not always in security. Our social media platform will foster community
and online mentoring for cybersecurity women. Men are welcome to join us.
Leadership:
Debbie Christofferson, CISSP, CISM .
Debbie Christofferson, with 25+ years serving the information security field across the US, Europe and Asia in senior security management enterprise roles in large organizations. CoChair ISSA Women in
Security Special Interest Group (WIS SIG) at Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), 10 year former ISSA former Board of Directors, Founder of the local Cloud Security Chapter, and long time contributor to our field. IT security consultant
and principle, published author and experienced speaker and workshop leader.
Dr. Curtis Campbell
Dr. Campbell, a 25-year cybersecurity professional, holds the designations of Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM). Her experience includes cybersecurity leadership,
governance, risk, and compliance in regulatory environments. As a current Director on the Board, she moderates industry webinars, contributes to Board strategies for programs and education to benefit ISSA, promotes creating community, igniting your
character, and channeling your passion for Women in Security, and is a regular columnist for the ISSA Journal, reporting on industry topics and championing women of all stages in their career. She has published over 30 research and peer-reviewed journal
articles on cybersecurity.
Betty Burke
Betty Burke has served MN-ISSA as the President for the past five years. Betty has over twenty years’ experience in Information Technology and Information Security in positions of progressive responsibility and technical expertise.
She has worked on information security planning, developing and delivering security programs. She is respected as a decision-maker and creative problem solver with demonstrated ability to achieve desired results while maintaining effective team cooperation.
She has worked with several security regulations and standards including HIPAA, ISO17799, COBIT, Payment Card Industry Standard, NIST Standards and IRS Publication 1075. Betty is CISSP and CISA certified.
