Chris Finan
Former Director of Cybersecurity Legislation for the White House

Chris Finan is a cybersecurity entrepreneur, and formerly served in the Obama administration as the Director for Cybersecurity Legislation and Policy on the National Security Staff in the White House. While serving in the Obama administration, he was responsible for assisting in the development of the administration’s cybersecurity legislation proposal, and leading Executive branch negotiations with Congress for cybersecurity legislation. Mr. Finan also helped draft the Cybersecurity Executive Order.

Previously, Mr. Finan also led technology development for the Plan X cyberwarfare program at DARPA and served as a cybersecurity advisor in the Pentagon. Mr. Finan served seven years in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot and intelligence officer, including a combat tour in Iraq where he worked as an intelligence officer and counterterrorism liaison to the Iraqi government.

After attending public schools in northeastern Pennsylvania, Mr. Finan studied Political Science and Arabic at the United States Air Force Academy. Mr. Finan is a Truman National Security Project Fellow and has written on Internet freedom, privacy, cyberwarfare and cybersecurity issues. His proposal for a military cyber-assistance campaign to establish a digital safe haven in Syria was recently featured in the New York Times.

Arlene Yetnikoff
Director of Information Security, DePaul University

Arlene Yetnikoff is the Director of Information Security for DePaul University. DePaul is one of the ten largest private universities in the United States, offering numerous degrees in Computer Science and other fields, including a Masters in Computer, Information and Network Security and a Bachelor's in Information Assurance and Security Engineering.

Arlene has worked in Information Security for over twenty-five years as a consultant, educator and hands-on practitioner. Arlene's many years of consulting experience in the Technology Risk group of a major accounting firm allowed her to help clients of varied sizes in numerous industries assess and design their information protection architecture, policies and processes. Today, Arlene leads DePaul's Information Security and Business Continuity team, which houses their incident response and forensics capabilities. Arlene also teaches Information Technology Security and Digital Forensics in the University of Chicago's Masters of Computer Science program.

Arlene is a CISSP and a CISA. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Chicago and a Masters in Computer Science, Telecommunications from DePaul University.

Jason Clark
Security and Strategy Officer for Websense, Inc.

Jason Clark is chief security and strategy officer for Websense, Inc. In this role, Clark and his team are responsible for corporate strategy, information security, marquee account relationships, and providing strategic services to CIOs and CISOs worldwide.

As a former CISO and vice president of infrastructure for Fortune 100 and 500 companies, Clark uses his business and security expertise to advise CXO executives on successful strategies to improve their IT infrastructure. Most recently, the concentration has been on transforming security organizations to be next generation data-centric and risk-based security programs. Focus areas include mobility, advanced malware, APTs, cloud, and data theft prevention.

Clark has been interviewed by multiple media outlets and has presented at more than 20 conferences worldwide, including RSA, Gartner Security Summit, CSO Perspectives, CSO Security Standard, and ISSA events. Each year he meets with CIO and CISO executives to provide valuable thought leadership on the dynamic IT security issues organizations are facing today.

Clark brings more than 18 years of senior IT security leadership to Websense. He previously served as CISO and vice president of infrastructure at Emerson Electric, a global Fortune 100 company, where he significantly decreased risk by building the security program for its 140,000 employees across 1,500 locations. This was Emerson Electric’s single largest IT project ever conducted.

Prior to Emerson Electric, Clark was the CISO at The New York Times and senior manager of security and infrastructure architecture at EverBank. Clark also served as a senior network and security engineer for BB&T and as a U.S. Army security systems engineer.

Clark received his bachelor’s degree in business management at University of Florida in Jacksonville, Fla. and a MBA from Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Pete Lindstrom
Principal, Spire Security, LLC

Pete Lindstrom is Principal of Spire Security, an industry analyst firm focused on information security. In his 20+ year career, Pete has held other industry analyst positions at Burton Group and Hurwitz Group as well as industry positions as a security architect for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and an IT auditor for PwC and GMAC Mortgage. Pete honed his finance and technology (and rifleman!) skills in the United States Marine Corps.

Pete is a frequent speaker and writer on information security topics and is a Director of the International Systems Security Association (ISSA). He has a finance degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Bill Burns
Director, Information Security & Networking, Netflix Inc.

Bill Burns is currently the Director of Information Security and Networking for Netflix Inc. His teams support the development of over 1000 streaming devices, enable Netflix members to stream one billion hours of entertainment per month, and ensure audit and regulatory compliance across a global public/private cloud environment.

Bill has 20 years of industry experience in information security architecture and IT operations, specializing in cryptography and networking. He has a CISSP certification, is a member of the RSA Security Conference Program Committee and CISO Executive Forum, and is on several customer advisory boards has advised several security startups.

In his free time, Bill volunteers with Santa Clara County's Office of Emergency Services where he and his wife train emergency communicators to support significant events and natural disasters. He is a graduate of Michigan Technological University, with Electrical Engineering and Business degrees.

Jay C. Grant
Director, Professional Services, North & South America, AccessData

Jay C. Grant completed a 20-year Law Enforcement career where he worked varying assignments over the years to include SWAT, Narcotics, Patrol, Traffic (Motors), THI (Traffic Homicide Investigations), and Supervision. During his career Jay served as an adjunct instructor for both law enforcement academies and college associate degree programs.

Jay has served on several task forces, local and federal, to include HIDTA, Secret Service Electronic Crimes. Jay served as a computer forensic investigator from 2005 to 2011 and has conducted investigations ranging from missing children to homicide. Jay received 13 meritorious service awards during his career.

Jay has also served in the U.S. Army reserves for 12 years holding three Military Occupation Specialties of Firefighting, Infantry, and Senior Information Technology Specialist. Jay has deployed in support of GWOT (Global War on Terror), UN/NATO Mission receiving a NATO medal. During his most recent deployment he was assigned to JCSE (Joint Communications Support Element) which provides unique communications and IT support for the Special Operations community of the military. While assigned to JCSE, Jay also supported the DJC2 project for deployable command and control centers. Jay has received 6 leadership or meritorious awards, and holds a security clearance.

Steve McGregory
Director, Threat Intelligence Program, Ixia

Steve McGregory is the Director of the Threat Intelligence Program at Ixia. In this role Steve is responsible for security research and application protocol development, which is integrated within all Ixia products. Steve has over 20 years' experience in Computer Networking and Security. Most recently, prior to joining Ixia, Steve was Director of Engineering at TippingPoint, overseeing design and implementation of Intrusion Prevention Technologies and Threat Management Systems.
